PIV – Condensation Solutions
HOW IT WORKS
It is estimated that one in five Irish households are poorly ventilated, leading to problems with streaming windows, mould growth and poor indoor air quality. Many older homes are inadequately ventilated and factors such as occupant lifestyles, steps towards energy-efficiency measures like wall and loft insulation, and a rise in fuel poverty all contribute to condensation dampness and its associated problems.
As new, ever more airtight houses are now being built with better construction methods and materials, the performance of the chosen ventilation method must be right, otherwise condensation dampness and poor indoor air quality will inevitably appear.
Our PIV units provide whole home ventilation based on the popular Positive Input Ventilation principle. Essentially, the concept is to gently introduce fresh, filtered air into the dwelling ensuring that old, contaminated moisture laden air is continuously diluted, displaced and replaced with good quality air. The result is improved air quality and a healthy living environment in which condensation cannot exist.
Our PIV ranges are quick, cost-effective and easy to install, making them an ideal condensation solution for both new build and retrofit applications.
